by which living organisms carry out their many functions in complete,
molecular detail.

Graduate Program

Our Graduate students obtain world-class research training and develop analytical skills, including big data analytics, in our programs.



Our Faculty are funded by the NIH, NSF, NIFA and DOE to discern biochemical mechanisms of a variety of organisms and are commited to provide the best education possible. 

Undergraduate Program

Our undergraduate program is one of the largest in the U.S., and is accredited by the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB).



Our Research programs are advancing our understanding of Vector-Borne Infectious Diseases, Drug Discovery, Microbiology, Stress Responses in Plants, Alzheimer’s, Cancer, and Type 2 Diabetes.
