We are dedicated to understanding the mechanisms by which living organisms carry out their many functions in complete, molecular detail.

Our research is generating new tools, knowledge and translational strategies to enhance the quality of life. Our faculty seek to provide aspiring molecular life scientists with the opportunity to obtain a world-class education. Our BS program is one of the largest undergraduate programs in the U.S., and is accredited by the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. We provide excellent training, experiential learning through research, and close contact with faculty and peer mentors, resulting in a small college-like experience embedded within a large, public university.

Graduate Program

Our Graduate students obtain world-class research training and develop analytical skills, including big data analytics, in our programs.

Faculty

Our Faculty are funded by the NIH, NSF, NIFA and DOE to discern biochemical mechanisms of a variety of organisms.

Undergraduate Program

Our undergraduate program is one of the largest in the U.S., and is accredited by the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB).
