All biochemistry majors must meet the University
core curriculum requirements and the additional core curriculum requirements
of the college of their major. There are slight differences in the requirements
of each college. For those students in the College of Agriculture and
Life Sciences, the requirements are designated as BCHM. For those students
in the College of Science, the requirements are designated as
BIOC.

foreign or classical language during

University Grade Point Average (GPA)
Requirement:
Students must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA for all hours attempted for graduation
with a B.S.
Additional Departmental GPA Requirements:
To qualify for a B.S. degree in biochemistry,
a student must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in all required courses taken
in biochemistry, biology, and chemistry. A student must earn a C- or better
in each of these required courses.
*BCHM 4124 (6 credits) in the writing intensive
course.
